“Genesis of Honey: Survivor to Siren” is a moving story of burlesque dancer Honey Suckle Duvet told through dance, humor, eccentric characters and dramatic monologues. This one-woman play weaves together the survivor’s spirit and how it led “Honey” to the stage. Amber P. Knight (Honey’s real name) shares the pain of childhood abuse and the joy of regaining her confidence and pride in her body, resulting in this most open and revealing of art forms. Her mission is to pay forward her healing, introduce more people to the art of burlesque, and entertain the audience.
In 2010 “Genesis of Honey: Survivor to Siren” will be taken to Edinburgh, Scotland to be a part of the Edinburgh fringe festival.

Golden brown, and sweet, that's Honey. She sauntered onto the scene in 2005 as an exotic dance student. Within weeks she was asked to teach. Women of all sizes and backgrounds learnt how to strut their stuff under Honey's tutelage. She has led workshops on spirituality in exotic dance, body image, and building a burlesque character.
Honey has traveled throughout the Northeast doing dance gigs and teaching, and was a featured dancer in the runaway hit "The Slutcracker: Burlesque" a parody of the Nutcracker.
